Our Stockport Building Structures Team continues to grow in the North West with a wide variety of projects in both public and private sectors. We have been appointed to many framework contracts with universities, Network Rail and local authorities. We employ over 100 professional staff and have offices in Stockport, London and Liverpool.
We require an ambitious Structural Engineer to work in our Stockport office to deliver varied and challenging building projects. The candidate should ideally be a Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design and management of building projects.
Contract Structural Engineer (Building Design)

The role requires a ‘hands on’ approach and the candidate must have design experience in all forms of structural materials. The candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the successful delivery of their projects. This will include structural design, client liaison and supervision of junior staff.
Duties will involve providing structural engineering design services for multiple sectors and and forms of buildings. The candidate should expect to work in all stages of the design process from concept through to completion.
Our projects vary from new build university buildings to historic refurbishment and include leisure centres, schools, art galleries and bespoke luxury housing. The candidate can be expected to work on small challenging projects and major projects up to £60m in value.
