BRS are working along side a £20m company based in North Manchester.

We are looking for a Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)Accountant, you’ll have a critical part to play in the success of the organisation.

You’ll gain a thorough understanding of the revenue streams and cost drivers which deliver the performance of the business unit, providing insight and challenging commercial margins and operational cost performance. By collaborating with key stakeholders, you’ll create analysis and reports on key financial indicators to help guide decisions and will create forecasts to identify areas of opportunity and risk.

You’ll need to have experience of working within a Financial Controller role, ideally within a construction / facilities management / building services industry sectors. T

You will be able to influence stakeholders at all levels, have excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. You will be a dynamic problem solver with a passion for presentation and communication of data. This includes communication with the Managing Director and Board. With demonstrable knowledge Microsoft Office.

Managing an existing team, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure integration of the financial processes within operations. The business requires significant development of the Operational and Financial systems and automation of processes which you be required to lead on and need to have a passion for process improvements.

 

Key Duties

Preparation of monthly group Management Accounts. Maintaining balance sheet. Reconciliations and posting entries.
VAT returns and reconciliations.
Submission of annual accounts to HMRC.
Oversight of payroll process and P11d’s.
Intercompany reconciliation across the group. Ensuring group costs are communicated and recharged/invoiced to other group companies.
Communication of management accounts to the Management team and Directors in a manner which engages them and generates understanding.
Summarise group data into a consolidated format for Directors.
Management of the Sales and Purchase Ledger.
Collating weekly cashflow forecast. Review and reporting of movements.
Financial Commercial oversight of Projects., Including forecasting Project outturn costs and cashflows.
Manage work in progress.
Monthly review of budgets and reforecasts with budget holders.
Analysis of labour productivity and allocation of costs to jobs.
Production of job cost reports.
Development and selection of the financial systems to generate efficiencies.
Directly communicate with the Senior Management team and Board of Directors on trends and business action required.
Attend board meetings.
Identification of business improvements.
Train and develop junior team members and manage recruitment where required.
Communicate financial data in a manner that none financial people understand.

 

Qualifications

ACCA / CIMA Fully qualified
Experience

Facilities management / Energy industry / Construction industry
Commercial contracts JCT / NEC
Experience of leading system and process change in an operational environment
Management of team
